Trail Scoping Hike

Notes: Today Teri, Jesse, and I decided to scope out an area of Swansea for potential trail riding. The area borders Warren, RI and Swansea, MA off Rt 6.  We covered about 3.5 miles, a moderate section of the area, with many cool features. It encompasses Margaret's and Devil's Rock, associated with local Indian history.  Let me say that the potential is very high and that I'll be visiting the town hall to determine legal land use and public access (which could be a problem, along with parking).  Although some maintenance is needed, a rideable system of main trails already exists.
