Trail Report - 7/1/10 - Big River Carr Pond - West Greenwich, RI

- Trailhead: Hopkins Hill Parking Lot
- Riders: OMMB
- Distance: 4.65+ miles (after all these years I realized that my GPS tracking was not on "detailed", maybe it will now match the odometer on each ride...although it still occasionally looses satellite connection)
- Temp: 80
- Weather: perfect
- Trails: intermediate singletrack; some roots, rocks, and reggae
- Trail Conditions: nice and dry (finally)...lack of rain is good for something!

Notes: Wanted to get out again, to keep the legs "primed".  Mark wanted to ride today, it gave me the incentive to make some time to kick around Big River for a while.  Although Mark couldn't make it, I did appreciate the impetus.  Made a nice singletrack loop that would be manageable for most intermediate riders.

Tidbits: been trying to locate a cemetery I came across many years ago in this area...found it!  RI Historical Cemetery #29  (Oldest grave is from 1690)  ...waypoint RI #29 on the map above.

Happy Trails,
OMMB
